Transitional Kindergarten

Transitional Kindergarten is a full day, no-cost early learning program for children who will be 4 years old by Aug. 31 and not turning 5 by Aug. 31 of the following year. The program focuses on developmentally appropriate skills and social and emotional development. Students must meet eligibility requirements, and space is limited.

Research shows that students who have access to education prior to beginning kindergarten display higher literacy skills, math abilities and skills such as remembering rules and impulse control.

Space will be limited
Due to likely reductions in state funding, we do not know exactly how many Transitional Kindergarten spots we will be able to offer families for the 2026-27 school year. Space will likely be very limited.
