At Yacolt Primary, we have a tradition of reaching out to families in need, and in particular, during the Thanksgiving to Christmas holiday season.  If you are currently experiencing hardships, and would like support with gifts and/or food, we are inviting you to contact Lori Homola (coordinator of the Giving Tree) 360-247-5239.  Other people to contact at Yacolt Primary is our front office staff who can assist you over the phone or in person. Now is the time to start calling, please submit names before December 8.

We will ask for the ages of your children and ideas for gifts they would like or need.  This also includes the adults in the family.  All names are kept confidential and we will use numbers only on the ornaments to identify families.  Please let us know if we can help.

If you would like to purchase gifts for families in need (and see the Giving Tree), or give other donations, please stop by the office. We ask that if you are purchasing gifts, please return them to school wrapped by December 13. There are so many people who want to make everyone’s holiday a little brighter!

We encourage you to volunteer your time in our schools. Volunteers help out in our schools taking on a variety of roles to help our students succeed.

Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures

We need your help to keep the school and your children safe. EVERY child’s safety is important to us. It remains our highest priority to ensure that students enter and exit cars in a safe and organized way. We ask everyone to correctly follow our new pick-up and drop-off procedures. Failure to do so creates chaos, frustration and unsafe conditions. Each family should discuss these new loading and walking procedures. Thank you for your continuing support in making Yacolt Primary a safe and productive environment for all.

General Precautions:

  • No arrivals prior to 8:50 A.M.
  • No honking or signaling to students from your vehicle at any time.
  • Use crosswalks to cross streets and loading zone lanes.
